Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Begin by unlacing the boots fully.
- Inserting Foot: Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated in the heel counter.
- Adjusting Tongue: Pull the foldover tongue into its natural position, ensuring it lies flat over the laces.
- Lacing Up: Start lacing from the bottom eyelets, pulling snugly but not too tightly. Work your way up, ensuring an even tension. The Primeknit collar will adapt to your ankle for a secure fit.
- Initial Wear: It's recommended to wear the boots for short periods initially to break them in and allow the materials to mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. This typically includes natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or otherwise soft. They are not recommended for use on firm ground (FG), artificial grass (AG), or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the boots and compromise your stability and grip.
Care
- Cleaning After Use: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, clean off excess mud and dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth.
- Washing: For deeper cleaning, wipe the synthetic HybridFeel upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, which can damage the materials.
- Stud Care: Regularly check the removable studs to ensure they are tight. If they become loose, gently re-tighten them. If a stud is lost or excessively worn, replace it with a compatible soft ground stud.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight), which can cause the materials to crack or shrink. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
