Littlefair's Interior Wood Dye in White is designed for woodworking enthusiasts and DIYers looking to enhance bare, sanded timber furniture with a soft pastel aesthetic or a subtle wash. This water-based stain excels at highlighting natural grain while remaining safe and easy to use indoors, though it is important to note that it must be applied to completely bare wood to ensure proper penetration.

This product is specifically designed for interior use. Using it outdoors may lead to rapid fading or degradation if not protected by a suitable exterior-grade sealer.
Yes, once the dye is fully dry, it is recommended to apply a wax or clear varnish to protect the wood from moisture and daily wear.
No, the stain will not penetrate a sealed surface. You must strip or sand away the varnish first.
Since it is a water-based dye, you can simply clean your brushes with warm soapy water immediately after use.
Yes, the formula is designed to soak into the wood, which accentuates and highlights the natural beauty of the grain.
The dye is eco-friendly and free from toxic chemicals, but it should still be used in a well-ventilated area during application.
The wood likely has an existing finish. You must sand the piece down to the bare, porous wood fibres to allow the dye to soak in.
Ensure you are applying the stain in long, even strokes along the grain. Avoid overlapping too much while the product is still wet.
This is normal for water-based stains. Lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper between coats to restore smoothness.
Before starting, ensure the timber is completely free of any prior finishes such as wax, oil, or varnish. Use medium-grit sandpaper to reveal the raw wood fibres, followed by a fine-grit sand for a smooth surface. Remove all sanding dust with a vacuum or damp cloth before application. Apply the dye directly to the wood surface, working along the grain. Once the desired colour depth is reached and the wood is fully dry, it is highly recommended to protect the surface with a suitable top coat such as a wax or polyurethane varnish if the piece will see regular wear and tear. Store the container in a cool, dry place away from freezing temperatures.
