The New Balance 880 Trainers are designed for active adults who need a dependable, comfortable shoe that bridges the gap between performance athletics and everyday casual wear. Featuring high-quality suede materials, these trainers offer long-lasting durability and a classic aesthetic, though users should be mindful that the suede construction requires specific care to maintain its appearance compared to synthetic alternatives.

While these provide comfort and support, they are generally optimized for everyday use and light activity; dedicated performance runners may prefer specialized technical models.
Use a dry, soft brush for surface dirt and a professional suede eraser for localized spots. Avoid submerging the shoes in water.
Suede is naturally porous. It is recommended to use a protective spray to increase water resistance, but they should be kept away from heavy rain or puddles.
Yes, they generally follow standard sizing; however, since they are made of suede, they have less stretch than mesh, so ensure you have the correct size for your foot shape.
No, machine washing can damage the suede material and weaken the structural adhesives. Clean by hand only.
Yes, the internal liners are typically removable, allowing you to insert custom orthotics if required.
Use a soft-bristled suede brush to gently restore the nap of the material.
Use a designated suede eraser to gently lift the stain without applying water.
Loosen the lacing system completely and re-lace to distribute tension more evenly across the midfoot.
To ensure your New Balance 880s last, proper care is essential. Use a specialized suede brush to remove loose dirt and debris after each wear. If the shoes become damp, air-dry them naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can cause the suede to stiffen or shrink. To maintain the material's integrity, apply a dedicated suede water-repellent spray before initial use. When sizing, ensure your foot is measured correctly to match the UK 10.5 fit, as the structured nature of the suede upper offers less stretch than mesh trainers.
