They are designed for light hiking and active outdoor use. For technical, high-altitude trekking, specialized mountaineering boots are recommended.
No, machine washing can damage the waterproof membrane and the leather exterior. Clean them by hand with a soft cloth and mild soap.
It uses specialized foam technology that balances rebound and cushioning to support your stride and minimize impact.
They generally fit true to size. If you plan to wear thick wool socks for hiking, you may want to consider a half-size up.
As with most high-quality leather footwear, a short period of wear is often needed for the leather to soften and mold to your foot shape.
TimberDry is a proprietary waterproof membrane that blocks water from entering the shoe while allowing moisture vapor to escape, keeping your feet dry.
Feet naturally swell throughout the day; try loosening the laces or wearing thinner moisture-wicking socks to improve circulation.
Clean the lug outsole with warm water and a brush to remove trapped debris or mud that may be hindering traction.
Check the leather for deep scratches or cracks and apply a leather conditioner and waterproofing spray to restore the barrier.
These trainers are ready to wear out of the box, though a brief break-in period may be necessary to allow the leather to conform to your foot shape. To ensure longevity: clean the exterior with a soft brush to remove dirt, and use a dedicated leather cleaner if the material becomes heavily soiled. Avoid machine washing or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can compromise the TimberDry membrane. Regularly re-apply a waterproof treatment compatible with leather to ensure the upper remains water-repellent.
