The Trespass Deffords Padded Jacket is designed for adult men who need a reliable, versatile outer layer for chilly weather, whether they are trekking through outdoor trails or navigating everyday urban commutes. Its standout feature is the integrated TPU membrane, which offers effective protection against wind and light precipitation while maintaining comfort. While this jacket excels in versatility and storage, potential buyers should note that it is best suited for transitional or cool weather rather than extreme sub-zero alpine conditions.

No, the Deffords jacket features a 'grown-on' hood, meaning it is permanently attached to the garment.
Use a cool machine wash on a gentle cycle. Do not use bleach or harsh softeners, as these can damage the TPU membrane.
It provides good protection against light rain and wind thanks to the TPU membrane, but it is not classified as a fully waterproof technical rain shell.
The jacket follows standard sizing. The inclusion of an adjustable hem drawcord allows you to tailor the fit to be tighter or looser around your hips.
The pockets are zippered for security, but they are not fully seam-sealed waterproof compartments, so avoid keeping electronics in them during heavy downpours.
Check for fabric caught in the teeth and run a lead pencil tip along the zipper teeth to act as a dry lubricant.
Dirt and oil build-up can affect the membrane; wash the garment according to instructions to restore breathability and performance.
To ensure the longevity of your jacket, always refer to the care label inside the garment. Because of the synthetic polyester construction and TPU membrane, wash in cool water on a gentle cycle to preserve the integrity of the fabric. Avoid using heavy-duty fabric softeners, as these can strip the weather-resistant properties of the membrane. When storing, keep the jacket on a sturdy hanger to maintain its shape, and ensure all zippers are closed before washing to prevent snagging. The hem drawcord should be loosened before storage to avoid unnecessary tension on the elastic cord.
