The Brooks Ghost 17 is a premium daily trainer designed for runners seeking a reliable, smooth, and cushioned ride during long-distance or recovery efforts. Featuring the signature DNA Loft v3 foam, this shoe caters to athletes who prioritize comfort and stability over aggressive speed, though the plush feel may feel too soft for those who prefer a highly responsive, firm underfoot experience.

The Ghost 17 is a neutral shoe. If you have flat feet and require significant arch support, you may want to consult a professional for custom insoles.
While excellent for running, their high-cushion design is less stable for heavy weightlifting or lateral movements.
Generally, daily trainers like the Ghost 17 provide optimal performance for 300 to 500 miles, depending on running surface and weight.
No, the breathable mesh is designed for ventilation and will allow water to pass through if you step in a puddle.
Yes, the internal sockliner is removable, allowing you to insert your own orthotics if preferred.
Yes, most runners find that the Brooks Ghost 17 fits true to size, matching their standard athletic footwear sizing.
Adjust your lacing pattern to provide more room in the midfoot or forefoot to account for foot swelling.
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dust and dirt from the mesh after each run to maintain breathability.
To ensure the best performance, ensure you have selected your correct UK size, as the Ghost 17 features a secure, true-to-size fit. Break them in over a few short walks or light jogs to allow the foam to adapt to your foot. For maintenance, keep the shoes away from extreme heat, such as radiators, which can warp the foam. If the shoes become muddy, hand-wash the uppers using a soft brush, mild soap, and cold water. Always air dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight to preserve the integrity of the materials.
