Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Converse leather trainers maintain their premium appearance, follow these care and setup guidelines:
- Breaking In: Wear them for short durations indoors before full-day outdoor use to allow the leather to soften and mold to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Since the upper is leather, avoid submerging them in water. Wipe clean with a damp, soft cloth to remove dust or dirt. Use a specialized leather cream or conditioner periodically to prevent the material from cracking.
- Lacing: Adjust the laces firmly but comfortably through the eyelets. Ensure the tongue is centered to maximize the support provided by the padded collar.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade the black finish over time. Use shoe trees if you want to maintain the original structure of the hi-top shape.
