FAQs

Can I lock the swivel position?

The swivel is designed to be free-moving at 360 degrees, and the base does not include a locking mechanism to hold it in a fixed position.

How do I clean the upholstery?

Use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment for regular cleaning. For stains, gently blot with a mild soap solution and a damp cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals.

Is the footstool included with the chair?

Yes, this set comes as a matching pair including both the armchair and the adjustable footstool.

Does the chair arrive pre-assembled?

The item arrives partially assembled, requiring minimal effort to attach the base to the main seating units.

What is the primary difference between the Green and Grey models?

The primary difference is the color of the upholstery fabric; all other comfort, swivel, and design specifications remain consistent between the variants.

Troubleshooting

The chair feels wobbly or unstable.

Check all bolts connecting the seat to the swivel base and ensure they are fully tightened with an Allen key.

The swivel mechanism feels stiff or makes noise.

Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the swivel bearing located underneath the seat base.

Footstool height does not stay in place.

Verify that the height adjustment locking mechanism is fully engaged and not obstructed by debris.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Full 360-degree swivel for maximum versatility
  • Thick, comfortable double-layer cushioning
  • Adjustable footstool height for customized leg support
  • Sleek design fits well in multiple room types
  • Easy to rotate during use

Cons

  • Requires sufficient floor space for swivel clearance
  • Non-removable covers may be harder to spot clean
  • Fixed back position may not suit those preferring a reclining mechanism

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Assembly of the HOMCOM armchair and stool is straightforward, typically involving securing the base to the seat unit. To maintain the life of the cushions, avoid placing the chair in direct sunlight to prevent fabric fading. For daily care, use a soft vacuum attachment to remove dust and debris from the crevices. If a spill occurs, blot the area immediately with a clean, slightly damp cloth—do not scrub the fabric, as this may damage the texture of the upholstery. Ensure all base bolts are tightened every few months to maintain smooth swivel movement.
