Full details

The Cult Tackle DPM Deluxe Comfort Chair is the ideal choice for dedicated carp anglers who spend extended periods on the bank and refuse to compromise on comfort. Engineered with a focus on long-session support, it combines a heavy-duty frame with plush padding, though its robust build means it takes up slightly more space during transport compared to ultra-minimalist stools.

FAQs

What is the weight capacity of the chair?

The chair is built with a robust, powder-coated steel frame designed to support the standard weight range of an adult angler during regular use.

Does this chair fold flat for transport?

Yes, it is designed for a compact fold, making it easy to fit onto a barrow or into the boot of a car.

Can I use this on a fishing platform?

Absolutely. The swivel mud feet provide excellent grip, and the adjustable legs allow you to compensate for the gaps often found on wooden fishing platforms.

Is the fabric waterproof?

The 600D rip-stop material is water-resistant, meaning it will easily shed light rain and dew, though it should be dried thoroughly after exposure.

How do I maintain the swivel mud feet?

Keep them free of debris by rinsing with water after your session to ensure the swivel mechanism remains smooth for the next trip.

Troubleshooting

Leg adjustment mechanism is stiff

Clear any grit or dried mud from the internal sliding mechanism and apply a light silicone-based spray.

Chair feels wobbly on firm ground

Ensure all four legs are locked firmly in place and re-check that the swivel mud feet are resting flat.

Fabric has a small snag or tear

Use a specialized repair patch for heavy-duty outdoor gear to prevent the rip-stop material from fraying further.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Superior comfort with extensive padding
Stable platform on uneven bank surfaces
Durable, long-lasting 600D rip-stop material
Highly adjustable for various terrain types
Includes useful storage pocket

Cons

Heavier than compact folding stools at 6.7kg
Requires more setup time than basic folding chairs
Not intended for extreme ultralight travel

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup is straightforward: unclip the retaining strap, unfold the frame, and adjust each leg to the desired height until the seat is level. To ensure the longevity of your chair, always clear the locking pins of mud or debris after use, especially after fishing in soft, clay-heavy conditions. If the fabric becomes soiled, clean it with a soft brush and lukewarm water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or pressure washers, as these can degrade the protective coating of the 600D material. When storing for the off-season, ensure the chair is completely dry to prevent mildew growth on the padding.
