FAQs

Can I use standard round-leg accessories with this chair?

No, this chair is specifically designed for 23mm square-leg accessories to ensure maximum stability.

Is the mattress removable for cleaning?

The mattress is fixed to the frame for stability and comfort; it is best cleaned by wiping it down with a damp cloth and mild soap.

Does the chair fold flat for transport?

Yes, the chair features a fold-flat design, though the presence of the reclining armrests and padded back means it remains thicker than basic fishing chairs.

How much weight can the chair support?

The S23 system is built for heavy-duty use and provides excellent structural integrity for most adult anglers.

Can I replace the legs if they get damaged?

Spare parts and replacement legs are generally available through authorized Korum retailers.

Troubleshooting

Leg adjustment mechanism feels stiff or sticks.

Clean the telescopic leg sections with a damp cloth to remove grit and apply a light silicone-based lubricant if necessary.

Accessories wobble or spin on the legs.

Ensure the accessory clamp is tightened securely against the flat edge of the S23 leg rather than the corner.

Armrest mechanism does not lock into place.

Check for debris in the reclining joint and ensure the locking pin is fully engaged before applying weight.

Pros and Cons

Versatile reclining armrests for increased flexibility
High-quality breathable mattress for long-duration comfort
Excellent adjustability for uneven ground

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the chair, first ensure the frame is fully extended on flat ground. Unlock the spring-loaded clamps on the legs to adjust them to the required height, ensuring the feet are firmly planted on the surface. The S23 legs are compatible with most standard Korum accessories designed for 23mm square profiles. To maintain the chair, keep the leg locking mechanisms clean from mud and grit to ensure smooth operation. After use, wipe down the breathable mattress with a damp cloth and allow it to air dry fully before storing it in a dry, covered area to prevent moisture buildup or fabric degradation.
