The Gel-Contend 10 is an excellent entry-level to mid-range shoe for daily road running and moderate distances.
Hand wash using a soft brush, mild soap, and water. Do not put them in the washing machine or dryer.
Yes, the Gel-Contend 10 comes with removable insoles to allow for easier cleaning or the use of custom orthotics.
Yes, their lightweight design and traction-focused outsole make them suitable for gym activities, treadmill usage, and general fitness.
The GEL technology provides shock absorption, reducing the impact stress on your joints during each stride.
The synthetic upper is designed for breathability, meaning it is not waterproof and may absorb water in heavy rain.
Remove the insoles after use to air dry them separately and use a shoe deodorizer if necessary.
Use a soft-bristled brush or damp cloth to wipe the synthetic material gently.
Consider replacing the standard removable insole with an aftermarket orthotic insert designed for your specific arch type.
To ensure your ASICS Gel-Contend 10 trainers last, avoid using harsh detergents when cleaning; a soft brush and mild soap with lukewarm water are best for the synthetic upper. Since the insoles are removable, take them out after particularly sweaty workouts to speed up the drying process and manage odors. Always ensure you are wearing the correct size, specifically accounting for a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe to prevent discomfort during swelling on long runs. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the integrity of the adhesive and cushioning materials.
