Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The C:68X SLT is a high-performance machine and may require professional assembly to ensure all components are correctly installed and adjusted, particularly the internal cable routing and electronic Di2 system. It is recommended to have the bike tuned by a qualified mechanic after initial setup.
Compatibility: The bike utilizes standard road bike components, including a BB86 Pressfit bottom bracket and a 1 1/8" (top) to 1 1/4" (bottom) integrated headset. It is compatible with 12x100mm front and 12x142mm rear thru-axles. The drivetrain is Shimano Di2 12-speed compatible.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the frame and components with mild soap and water. Use a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid high-pressure washers, especially near bearings and the electronic components.
- Drivetrain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated. The Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 system requires minimal mechanical adjustment but ensure battery levels are maintained.
- Brakes: Inspect brake pads regularly for wear. Hydraulic disc brakes generally require less frequent adjustment than rim brakes.
- Wheels & Tires: Check tire pressure before every ride. Inspect tires for cuts or embedded debris. Ensure wheel rims are clean and free from damage.
- Storage: Store the bike in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
