Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
These boots feature a traditional lace-up design. Before your first use, ensure the laces are threaded correctly and tied firmly to achieve the 'all-game lockdown' provided by the Winged Stretch Net tongue. A secure fit is crucial for optimal performance and injury prevention.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically engineered for soft ground (SG) pitches. They excel on wet, muddy, or natural grass surfaces where maximum stud penetration is required. They are designed for adult male rugby players, particularly those in the forward pack who need superior grip and stability for scrums, rucks, and driving through contact. They are not recommended for firm ground, artificial grass, or 3G pitches, where their long metal studs could cause instability or damage.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove excess mud and debris from the studs and outsole. Wipe the synthetic upper with a damp cloth. For tougher dirt, a soft brush and mild soap can be used.
- Drying: Allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the materials.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check and tighten the metal studs before and after each game or training session. Loose studs can affect performance and potentially fall out.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with good air circulation, to prevent odor and material degradation.
