Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lace-Up: Begin by loosening the laces completely. Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back. Pull the laces evenly, starting from the toe, to achieve a snug but not overly tight fit. The winged neoprene tongue should conform securely around your ankle.
- Test Fit: Stand up and walk around. Ensure there's a small amount of space (about a thumb's width) between your longest toe and the end of the boot. The boot should feel secure around your midfoot and heel, without any pinching or excessive movement.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically engineered for soft, natural grass pitches. The stud configuration and outsole design are optimized for penetration and grip on wet, muddy, and soft ground conditions. They are not recommended for use on firm ground (FG) or artificial turf (AG) pitches, as this can damage the studs, outsole, and potentially lead to reduced performance or injury.
Care
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, remove excess mud and debris from the boots. Use cold water and a soft brush (like a toothbrush) to clean the upper and studs.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh detergents, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the synthetic materials and bio-based components.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, heaters) or in direct sunlight, as this can cause the materials to crack or shrink. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Inspect Studs: Regularly check the studs for wear or damage. Worn studs can reduce grip and performance. Replace them if necessary.
