Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Preparation and Styling
Upon receiving your dress, carefully remove it from its packaging. To ensure the dress is wrinkle-free for your event, professional steaming is recommended. Avoid direct ironing on delicate fabrics unless advised by a professional. When styling, choose delicate accessories to complement the gown's refined aesthetic. A cathedral-length veil can create a dramatic ceremony look and be removed to highlight the stunning open back for the reception.
Undergarments
Select seamless, supportive undergarments that match your skin tone to maintain the gown's smooth lines. Consider a plunge or backless bra if needed, ensuring it remains invisible beneath the dress's neckline and open back design.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: Due to the delicate nature of crepe fabric (and potential material variations like cashmere as listed in some variants), professional dry cleaning is highly recommended both before and after your event. Do not attempt to machine wash or tumble dry.
- Storage: Store the dress in a breathable garment bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a padded hanger to prevent stretching or damage to the shoulders. For long-term preservation, consider specialist bridal gown preservation services to prevent yellowing and fabric degradation.
- Handling: Handle the dress with clean hands, especially before wearing, to avoid transferring oils or marks onto the fabric.
- Minor Wrinkles: For minor wrinkles closer to the event, use a handheld steamer from a safe distance, moving continuously, or hang the dress in a steamy bathroom.
