Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup & Fitting:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the dress from its packaging, handling it by the shoulders to avoid creasing or touching the fabric unnecessarily.
- Steaming/Pressing: Before your event, the dress may benefit from professional steaming to remove any travel wrinkles. Avoid direct, high heat ironing to protect the crepe fabric. If doing it yourself, use a steamer or iron on a low setting with a pressing cloth.
- Fitting: Ensure final alterations are completed well in advance of your wedding day to guarantee the perfect fit, especially with the fishtail hem's length and the plunge neckline's contour.
Compatibility (Styling):
- Undergarments: Due to the plunge neckline and open back, specialized adhesive bras, shapewear, or sewn-in cups may be necessary to achieve a seamless look.
- Accessories: This dress shines with minimal embellishment. Delicate jewelry (pearls, small crystals), a classic veil, and elegant shoes are recommended. Avoid overly busy or heavy accessories that might distract from the gown's clean lines.
Care & Maintenance (Post-Wear):
- Cleaning: The dress is made from Polyester crepe. It is strongly recommended to have the dress professionally dry cleaned by a specialist experienced in handling bridal gowns as soon as possible after wear to address any stains or soiling.
- Storage: Store the dress in a breathable garment bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid plastic garment bags for long-term storage, as they can trap moisture and cause yellowing. Padded hangers are ideal to maintain the dress's shape.
- Spot Treatment: For minor, immediate spills, gently blot with a clean, damp white cloth. Do not rub, as this can set the stain. Always consult a professional cleaner for significant stains.
