Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Salomon X-Alp trainers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in Period: Because of the leather construction, the shoes may feel slightly stiff out of the box; wear them around the house for a few days to allow the material to soften and conform to your foot.
- Cleaning: Wipe the leather surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid fully submerging the shoes in water, as this can degrade the leather and the adhesives.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using a shoe tree can help maintain the shape of the leather over time.
- Maintenance: If the leather begins to look dry or loses its luster, use a leather conditioner designed for footwear to keep the material supple and water-resistant.
