Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Salomon X-Alp trainers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in Period: Because of the leather construction, wear them around the house for a few days before taking them on a long hike to allow the material to soften.
- Cleaning: Wipe away surface dirt with a soft, dry brush. Use a damp cloth for deeper stains, but avoid submerging them in water.
- Leather Maintenance: Apply a leather conditioner every few months to prevent cracking and maintain flexibility.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the leather from fading or drying out. Always allow them to air dry naturally if they become wet, keeping them away from direct heat sources like radiators.
