The Trespass Willsons Softshell Jacket is designed for adult hikers and walkers who need a versatile, protective layer for outdoor activities in unpredictable climates. Its core strength lies in its effective blend of water resistance and breathability, keeping the wearer dry while preventing overheating during exertion. While it provides excellent windproofing and moisture management, users should note that as a softshell garment, it is best suited for light to moderate precipitation rather than sustained heavy downpours.

Yes, it works well as part of a layering system, though you may need a fleece or thermal base layer underneath for extreme cold.
No, the hood is a 'grown-on' style, meaning it is permanently attached to the jacket for better weather protection.
Machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle using a technical detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners.
Softshell materials are inherently more flexible than traditional waterproof fabrics, allowing for excellent mobility during hiking.
Yes, the jacket is specifically engineered to be windproof to protect against cold air penetration.
The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating may be wearing off; consider reapplying a technical waterproofing spray.
Ensure you are not overdressed; the jacket is highly breathable, but layering too many heavy items underneath can trap moisture.
To ensure your jacket remains effective, it is important to follow proper maintenance steps. Adjust the grown-on hood using the built-in toggles to secure a fit that moves with your head. When cleaning, avoid harsh detergents that may degrade the TPU membrane; it is recommended to use technical garment cleaners. Always air dry the jacket away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, to preserve the integrity of the polyester fibers. Ensure all zippers are closed before washing to prevent damage to the fabric.
