Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & Break-in
Upon first wear, allow a short break-in period for the premium kangaroo leather to fully mold to your foot shape. This typically involves a few light training sessions or casual wears. Ensure laces are tied securely but not overly tight to prevent discomfort.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor (IC) surfaces can compromise grip, damage the soleplate, or reduce the boot's lifespan.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt with a soft brush. Wipe the leather upper with a damp cloth. For tougher dirt, use a specialized leather cleaner.
- Drying: Always allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or prolonged sunlight, as these can cause the leather to crack and stiffen. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Conditioning: Periodically apply a quality leather conditioner to keep the kangaroo leather soft, supple, and to prevent drying out.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures. Consider using shoe trees to help maintain their shape. Proper care will extend the life and performance of your Copa Mundial boots.
