Full details

The Puma Future 9 Ultimate FG football boots are designed for adult players who prioritize intuition and instant control on the field. Their key benefit is enabling precise ball manipulation and agile movement, allowing playmakers to act on instinct. A potential caveat is that the lacquer finish on the soleplate may wear off during play, though this does not impact performance. These boots feature an adaptive-fit upper, enhanced haptics, and a 360 Agility soleplate for superior grip and rotational flow.

FAQs

What does 'FG' stand for on these boots?

FG stands for 'Firm Ground'. These boots are designed for optimal performance on natural grass pitches that are well-maintained and not excessively wet or muddy.

Are these boots suitable for artificial grass?

While they may offer some grip, the FG soleplate is not specifically designed for artificial grass. For artificial turf, it is recommended to use boots with an AG (Artificial Ground) soleplate.

How does the FUZIONFIT upper adapt to my foot?

The FUZIONFIT upper uses a combination of materials, including adaptive mesh and tape, to stretch and conform to the unique shape of your foot, providing a personalized and secure fit.

What is the benefit of the 3D FUZIONPODS?

The 3D FUZIONPODS are strategically placed on the upper to provide cushioning, protection from impact, and enhance tactile feel for better ball control.

How do I clean the boots if they get very muddy?

Remove excess mud with a soft brush. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the upper and soleplate. Avoid submerging the boots in water or using high-pressure cleaning devices. Allow them to air dry naturally.

Do these boots run true to size?

The boots are designed for an adaptive fit. It is recommended to consult a sizing chart and consider trying them on if possible. They generally aim for a snug, performance-oriented fit.

What is the expected lifespan of the soleplate's lacquer finish?

The lacquer finish on the soleplate is known to wear off during play. This is a common characteristic and does not impact the performance or structural integrity of the boots.

Troubleshooting

Boots feel too tight initially.

The FUZIONFIT upper is designed to adapt. Wear the boots for short periods initially to allow them to break in and mold to your foot shape. Ensure laces are not over-tightened.

Reduced grip on the ball.

Ensure the GripControl Pro finish is clean. Wipe away any mud or debris that may have accumulated on the upper surface.

Soleplate lacquer wearing off.

This is a cosmetic issue that does not affect performance. Continue using the boots as normal. The underlying soleplate material will still provide traction.

Discomfort during quick movements.

Check the fit and ensure the NanoGrip sockliner is properly positioned. Verify that the laces are tied correctly for optimal lockdown without restricting circulation.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: These football boots are ready to wear straight out of the box. Ensure you have selected the correct size for a snug, comfortable fit. The FUZIONFIT upper will adapt to your foot shape during initial use.

Compatibility: The Ultimate FG (Firm Ground) soleplate is designed for use on natural grass pitches. It may not offer optimal traction or durability on artificial turf, hard ground, or very wet conditions. Always check pitch regulations if playing in official matches.

Care:

Cleaning: After each use, remove excess dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
Drying: Stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb moisture and help them retain their shape. Allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight.
Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place. Using a boot bag can help protect them from dust and damage.
