Product Information

Full details

The Puma Future 9 Ultimate FG football boots are designed for adult players, particularly playmakers, seeking enhanced control and an intuitive connection with the ball. Their key benefit lies in the adaptive fit upper and advanced haptics, allowing for instant reactions and precise manipulation. A minor caveat is that the lacquer finish on the soleplate may wear off during play, though this does not impact performance.

FAQs

What type of pitch are the Puma Future 9 Ultimate FG boots for?

These are FG (Firm Ground) football boots, best suited for use on firm, natural grass pitches.

How do I clean my football boots?

After use, gently brush off dirt with a soft brush or wipe with a damp cloth. Allow them to air dry naturally away from heat sources.

What does 'FG' stand for?

FG stands for Firm Ground, indicating the intended playing surface.

Is the adaptive fit comfortable immediately?

The adaptive fit is designed to mold to your foot over time, offering a personalized feel. Some players may experience a brief break-in period for maximum comfort.

Does the wear on the soleplate lacquer affect performance?

No, the wear of the lacquer finish on the bottom of the boot is purely cosmetic and does not impact the performance or function of the product.

Are these boots suitable for players with wide feet?

The Future 9 Ultimate FG has a slightly more accommodating fit than previous generations, designed to offer comfort for a range of foot shapes.

What is the benefit of the FUZIONPODS?

The 3D FUZIONPODS provide protection and dynamic freedom of movement by adapting to the foot's shape during play.

Troubleshooting

Boots feel too tight initially.

This is common due to the adaptive fit. Wear the boots for short periods during non-match activities or light training to allow them to break in and mold to your foot shape.

Traction feels inconsistent on wet grass.

These boots are designed for firm ground. Performance may be reduced on very wet or soft ground. Ensure the pitch conditions match the boot's intended use.

Lacquer on the soleplate is peeling.

This is a cosmetic issue that can occur during normal play and does not affect the boot's performance or traction capabilities. Continue using the boots as intended.

Discomfort around the ankle.

Ensure the laces are adjusted correctly for optimal lockdown without being too tight. The reworked ankle collar is designed for stability, and minor adjustments to lacing can resolve pressure points.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup:

These football boots are designed for immediate use upon purchase. Ensure you have selected the correct size for a proper fit. The adaptive fit upper will naturally conform to your foot shape over time.

Compatibility:

These are FG (Firm Ground) football boots, designed specifically for use on firm, natural grass pitches. They are not recommended for artificial grass, hard ground, or indoor surfaces as this may affect performance and durability.

Care:

  • Cleaning: After each use, remove excess dirt and mud with a soft brush or a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
  • Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or heaters, as this can damage the materials. Stuffing with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape during drying.
  • Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using a boot bag to protect them when not in use.
  • Maintenance: Periodically check the studs for wear and tear. Ensure laces are tied securely before play to maximize lockdown and stability.
