The Puma Deviate Nitro 4 trainers are designed for adult female runners seeking a blend of speed and cushioning for everyday training and speed work on the road. The key benefit is enhanced propulsion and a responsive ride, making runs feel faster. A potential caveat is that they are neutral shoes, which may not suit runners requiring significant stability support. Key features include NITROFOAM for lightweight responsiveness, a PWRPLATE carbon composite for propulsion, and PUMAGRIP for durable traction.

The Puma Deviate Nitro 4 is designed for neutral runners seeking a blend of speed and cushioning for daily training, tempo runs, and speed work on road surfaces.
The PWRPLATE is a carbon composite plate engineered to provide propulsion and a snappy feel, enhancing running efficiency while maintaining flexibility for uptempo efforts.
Yes, NITROFOAM provides lightweight responsiveness and cushioning, making it suitable for long runs by reducing fatigue and providing a comfortable ride.
The Puma Deviate Nitro 4 weighs approximately 250 grams, making them a lightweight option for runners focused on speed.
These shoes are primarily designed for road running. While the PUMAGRIP offers good traction, they are not optimized for the varied terrain and potential debris found on trails.
Clean them with a soft brush and cold water, using mild soap if necessary. Avoid machine washing or using harsh detergents. Allow them to air dry naturally.
The Deviate Nitro 4 has a heel-to-toe drop of 8mm.
Ensure you have the correct size. Try lacing them differently to adjust pressure points. Wear them for progressively longer runs to allow them to break in.
Check for any debris or blockages in the midsole grooves. Ensure the shoes are not excessively dirty. While NITROFOAM is durable, extreme conditions can impact performance; regular cleaning helps.
The PUMAGRIP outsole provides good traction, but all rubber compounds have limitations on very wet or slick surfaces. Ensure you maintain a safe pace and stride in adverse conditions.
This may occur during the initial break-in period. Ensure socks are worn correctly. If the issue persists, the shoe might not be the right fit for your foot shape.
Setup: The Puma Deviate Nitro 4 trainers require no specific setup. They are ready to wear out of the box. It is recommended to wear them for a short run initially to acclimate to the feel and ensure a proper fit.
Compatibility: These shoes are designed primarily for road running. They are compatible with most running surfaces, including pavement, asphalt, and dry packed trails. They are suitable for neutral runners.
