While the high-quality leather provides some water resistance, they are not classified as waterproof. It is best to avoid heavy rain and treat the leather with a water-repellent spray.
Leather will soften and mold slightly to the leg, but it does not stretch significantly. Ensure the calf measurement meets your requirements before final purchase.
Use a matching red shoe cream or leather conditioner to buff out scuffs and restore the vibrancy of the pigment.
Yes, as with most high-quality boots, the heel tips can be replaced by a professional cobbler once they show signs of wear.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, preferably using a boot tree or shaper to maintain the structure of the tall shaft.
Ensure the internal protective strip behind the zipper is not caught in the teeth and try zipping while the boot is off the foot to check for debris.
Leather is a natural material that will soften with wear. Wear the boots for short periods indoors to allow the leather to break in naturally.
To ensure your Neptune boots maintain their finish, it is recommended to apply a high-quality leather protector spray before the first wear. Store the boots in an upright position or use boot shapers to prevent the leather from developing permanent creases at the ankle. When cleaning, wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. If the boots become wet, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can cause the leather to crack.
