Product Information

Full details

The Regatta Selenar Long Length Padded Jacket is designed for adult women seeking reliable warmth and extended coverage during chilly outdoor conditions. Featuring sustainable, feather-free recycled insulation and a stylish longer cut, it serves as an excellent barrier against the cold for winter commuting or casual country walks. While it offers a water-repellent finish that handles light drizzle, users should note that it is not a fully waterproof technical shell and is best suited for cold, dry or mildly damp conditions.

FAQs

Is this jacket waterproof?

It features a water-repellent finish that protects against light rain and snow, but it is not fully waterproof.

Can I put this in the tumble dryer?

Yes, it can be tumble-dried on a low heat setting, preferably with dryer balls to restore the loft of the insulation.

Is the hood fully removable?

Yes, the hood is detachable and features drawcord adjusters to ensure a secure fit.

What is the insulation made of?

The jacket uses feather-free recycled synthetic insulation.

How do I choose the right size?

The jacket is designed for standard layering; we recommend choosing your normal size, but if you plan to wear thick layers underneath, you might consider sizing up.

Troubleshooting

Water is soaking into the fabric rather than beading off.

The DWR finish has likely worn off; wash the garment and apply a textile-safe water-repellent spray.

Zipper feels stiff or difficult to pull.

Check for fabric stuck in the track. If the teeth are clean, lightly rub a pencil lead or zipper lubricant on them to smooth the movement.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Extended length provides superior warmth for the legs and torso.
  • Environmentally conscious design using recycled synthetic insulation.
  • 2-way zipper offers practical versatility for movement.
  • Lightweight construction prevents the jacket from feeling bulky.
  • Stylish aesthetic suitable for both urban commutes and outdoor hikes.

Cons

  • Not intended for heavy, sustained downpours as it is water-repellent rather than waterproof.
  • The longer cut may restrict mobility during high-intensity activities.
  • Requires proper care to maintain the insulation's loft.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To keep your jacket performing at its best, follow these care guidelines:

  • Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can strip the water-repellent coating.
  • Drying: Air dry whenever possible. If machine drying, use a low heat setting and include dryer balls to help fluff up the insulation.
  • Storage: Store the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid compressing it in a small bag for long periods to preserve the insulation loft.
  • Reproofing: If you notice water no longer beads off the surface, consider applying a garment-safe DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray to restore its performance.
