Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Selenar jacket maintains its insulating properties, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning: Always wash on a gentle cycle at 30°C using a mild detergent specifically designed for synthetic insulation. Avoid fabric softeners as they can clog the fibers and reduce water repellency.
- Drying: Air dry whenever possible. If using a tumble dryer, use the lowest heat setting with clean tennis balls to help redistribute the synthetic filling.
- Water Repellency: Over time, the DWR finish may wear off. If you notice water stops beading on the surface, apply a re-proofing spray designed for technical outdoor garments.
- Storage: Store the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a dry, well-ventilated area to maintain the loft of the insulation.
