The Clarks Fawn Lay trainers are designed for growing children who need a supportive, durable shoe for daily activities from the classroom to the playground. These trainers offer the significant benefit of a child-specific last that promotes natural gait development while providing extra room for growth, though parents should note they are primarily designed for casual wear rather than intense athletic sports.

Yes, the classic black design makes them highly suitable for most school uniform requirements.
The shoes feature a built-in footbed for comfort, but you may add your own orthotic insert if needed, provided there is enough depth.
The Fawn Lay series includes 14mm of growing room, so order the size based on your child's current measured foot length.
No, machine washing can damage the leather and the internal components. Wipe clean with a damp cloth instead.
No, these trainers use elastic lacing combined with a riptape strap for an easy, slip-on feel.
The lining is made from a blend of chrome-free leather and mesh with built-in odour control.
Clean the hook-and-loop fabric with a small brush to remove lint, dirt, or playground debris.
Remove the footbed if possible to air out separately and use a mild, shoe-safe deodorizing spray.
Use a standard black leather polish or cream to buff out minor surface scuffs and restore the finish.
To ensure the best fit, utilize the riptape strap to secure the foot firmly without overtightening. Because these shoes feature chrome-free leather and mesh, they should be cleaned gently with a damp cloth to maintain the material's integrity. Avoid machine washing, which can damage the structural adhesives. For odour maintenance, keep the shoes in a well-ventilated area when not in use. Ensure the child wears socks that are appropriate for leather footwear to enhance the effectiveness of the moisture-wicking lining.
