The Clarks Fawn Lay Trainers are designed for children who need a blend of support and comfort for daily activities ranging from classroom time to playground play. Built specifically to support natural foot development through a child-specific last, these trainers offer an ideal balance of protection and flexibility, though parents should note that the leather upper requires regular care to maintain its appearance during active outdoor use.

No, these are leather trainers and should not be machine washed. Clean them by wiping with a damp cloth.
The 14mm space is scientifically measured to allow feet to move and grow naturally without the shoe becoming too small too quickly.
The elastic laces are integrated into the design. If they lose elasticity, it is recommended to contact Clarks customer support.
Yes, the rubber soles are non-marking, making them suitable for indoor gym floors and school use.
Clarks shoes are built on specific lasts; it is best to measure your child's feet using a standard Clarks measuring gauge.
Use a small brush or tweezers to remove lint and debris trapped in the hook-and-loop fabric.
Ensure the elastic laces are not knotted or tangled inside the shoe and use the rear pull-tab to assist the heel entry.
Apply a mild, child-safe leather conditioner or cream to restore moisture and shine.
To ensure the best fit, utilize the built-in 14mm of growing room by checking that there is a slight gap between the toes and the front of the shoe when the child is standing. Because the upper is made of high-quality leather, use a soft, dry brush to remove loose dirt after outdoor use. For minor scuffs, wipe with a damp cloth and allow to air dry away from direct heat sources. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh detergents, as this can degrade the leather and the odour-control lining. Regularly check the riptape strap for lint or debris to ensure it maintains a secure grip.
