Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces sufficiently before putting on the boots. The fold-over tongue should sit comfortably over the laces once tied.
- Fit: Slide your foot in, ensuring the `PRIMEKNIT collar` hugs your ankle. The fit should be snug but not restrictive.
- Secure: Tie the laces firmly, then fold the tongue down over the knot. Ensure it lies flat to maintain a clean striking surface.
- Break-in: As with most new boots, a short break-in period may be beneficial. Wear them for light training sessions or casual use before full-intensity play to allow the materials to mold to your foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are wet, muddy, or generally soft, where the longer, often removable studs can penetrate the surface to provide maximum traction. They are *not* recommended for firm ground (FG), artificial grass (AG), or indoor surfaces, as the studs can cause damage to the pitch or lead to discomfort and instability for the player.
Care
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, remove loose mud and dirt. Use a soft brush (like a toothbrush) for studs and crevices. Wipe the `synthetic` upper with a damp cloth.
- Deep Cleaning: For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Tongue Maintenance: Gently clean the underside and folds of the tongue to prevent dirt buildup and ensure its flexibility.
