Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Before your first wear, fully unlace the boots, then put them on and lace them up snugly. Ensure the laces are firm but not overly tight, allowing for comfortable movement. The lace closure is designed to provide a secure, personalized fit.
- Break-in Period: Like most performance footwear, these boots may benefit from a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions initially to allow the Fusionfeel synthetic leather to mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
- Pitch Types: These boots feature a Firm Ground (FG) / Multi-Ground (MG) soleplate, making them suitable for:
- Firm, natural grass pitches.
- Modern artificial grass (AG) surfaces.
- Avoid using them on extremely hard ground or concrete to prevent premature wear to the studs and soleplate.
- User: Designed for adult, unisex players who seek enhanced ball control and comfort.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your Copa Pure III boots:
- Cleaning After Use:
- Immediately after each use, knock off any loose mud or dirt from the soleplate.
- Use a soft brush (like a toothbrush) to gently clean stubborn mud from between the studs.
- Wipe the synthetic leather upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grass stains. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying:
- Always air dry your boots at room temperature.
- Do not use direct heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers) as this can damage the synthetic leather and adhesives.
- Stuffing the boots with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage:
- Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- A boot bag can protect them from dust and damage during transport.
- Odour Control:
- Use shoe deodorizers or natural remedies (like baking soda in a sock) to keep the interior fresh and prevent odours.
