Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your new boots, it's recommended to lace them up to achieve a snug, yet comfortable fit. The regular fit is designed to adapt to a variety of foot shapes, but some players may prefer to adjust lacing tightness to their personal preference for optimal lockdown and feel. A short 'break-in' period during light training sessions can help the synthetic leather mold to your foot, enhancing comfort.
Compatibility
These boots feature a Firm Multi-Ground (FGMG) soleplate, making them compatible with:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are dry and well-maintained.
- Artificial Ground (AG): Modern artificial turf pitches (3G and 4G).
Avoid using FGMG boots on extremely soft, muddy pitches (SG) or hard ground (HG) as this can damage the studs and reduce performance. Always match your boot type to the playing surface for safety and optimal performance.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your adidas Copa Pure III League boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on wet or muddy surfaces, gently brush off loose dirt and grass. Use a damp cloth with mild soap (if necessary) to wipe down the Fusionfeel synthetic leather upper. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes.
- Drying: Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb excess moisture and maintain their shape. Keep them away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can cause the material to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a boot bag can protect them from dust and damage.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove insoles and air them out. Odor-absorbing inserts or sprays can also be used.
