Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Birkenstock Boston Fur clogs are ready to wear right out of the box. Simply slip them on and adjust the buckle on the strap for a comfortable, secure fit. Initially, the cork footbed will feel firm, but it will gradually mold to the unique shape of your feet over a few days or weeks of wear. We recommend wearing them for shorter periods initially to allow your feet and the footbed to adjust.
Compatibility
These clogs are designed for unisex adult use. They pair well with various casual and comfortable attire, such as jeans, leggings, or loungewear. While primarily designed for dry, cool environments, their slip-on nature makes them a convenient choice for quick errands.
Care
Proper care is essential to maintain the quality and longevity of your suede and shearling Birkenstocks:
- Suede Upper: Use a specialized suede brush to gently remove dirt and scuffs. For more stubborn stains, a suede cleaner can be applied sparingly, following product instructions. Avoid excessive rubbing. It's recommended to treat the suede with a water and stain protector spray before first wear and periodically thereafter.
- Shearling Lining: The shearling can be gently fluffed with a soft brush. For light cleaning, dab with a damp cloth and mild soap, then allow to air dry completely away from direct heat.
- Footbed: Wipe the cork footbed with a damp cloth. If the cork sealant appears worn, reapply a cork sealer to protect it from moisture and wear.
- Storage: Store your clogs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing in plastic bags, as this can trap moisture.
- General: Do not machine wash or submerge in water. Keep away from direct heat sources like radiators or open fires, as this can damage the materials.
