Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Simply slip your foot into the clogs. The initial fit of new leather may feel snug. We recommend wearing them for short periods, gradually increasing the wear time each day. This process allows the leather to soften and the footbed to adapt to the unique contours of your foot, leading to a personalized and comfortable fit.
Compatibility
These clogs are primarily designed for casual wear. They pair well with a wide range of relaxed attire, including jeans, shorts, linen pants, and casual dresses. While versatile, their open-back design makes them less suitable for rigorous activities or in conditions requiring significant ankle support. They are best worn in dry environments, as prolonged exposure to excessive moisture can damage the leather.
Care
To maintain the quality and appearance of your waxy tobacco brown leather clogs, follow these guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the leather upper with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and light dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a specialized leather cleaner designed for waxy or oiled leather, applying it sparingly with a soft cloth. Follow the product's instructions.
- Conditioning: To prevent the leather from drying out and cracking, apply a high-quality leather conditioner periodically. This helps to moisturize and protect the material, maintaining its suppleness and rich color. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Drying: If the clogs get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can cause the leather to stiffen or crack.
- Storage: Store your clogs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. You may use shoe trees to help maintain their shape.
- Outsole Maintenance: Periodically inspect the rubber outsole for wear. Clean any dirt or debris from the tread with a brush or damp cloth to maintain grip.
