Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Sizing: It is highly recommended to buy one size larger than your usual shoe size. Football boots often fit snugly, and this model specifically suggests upsizing for comfort. Try them on with the type of socks you'll wear for playing to ensure the best fit.
- Lacing: Utilize the traditional lace closure to achieve a secure and personalized fit. Start by loosening the laces completely, slide your foot in, then progressively tighten the laces from the toe upwards, ensuring an even, snug feel without being overly tight. Always double-knot your laces before playing to prevent them from coming undone.
- Break-in Period: Like most football boots, these may require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions before a full match to allow the materials to mold to your feet and prevent discomfort.
Compatibility
These adidas Predator League Football Boots are specifically designed with a rubber outsole for artificial turf (TF) surfaces. They are not recommended for use on natural grass (firm ground, soft ground) or indoor courts, as this can affect performance, grip, and potentially damage the boots or the playing surface.
Care
To ensure the longevity and performance of your boots, follow these care instructions:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off any dirt, mud, or artificial turf pellets with a damp cloth or soft brush. For more stubborn grime, use a mild soap solution and a soft sponge. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight), as this can cause the materials to crack or warp.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using shoe trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape and absorb excess moisture.
- Avoid Washing Machine: Never put your football boots in a washing machine, as this can damage the materials and construction.
