Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Initial Fit: When first trying on your boots, wear the type of socks you'd typically play in. The fit should be snug but not uncomfortably tight, with your toes lightly touching the end.
- Lacing: Utilize the lace fastenings to secure the boot firmly around your foot. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience pressure points or desire a tighter fit.
- Break-In: Like most new footwear, these boots may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or casual use before competitive matches to allow them to mold to your feet.
Compatibility
These adidas Predator League boots are specifically engineered for Astro Turf (TF) and other artificial ground surfaces. The lug rubber outsole provides optimal grip and durability on these specific pitch types. They are not recommended for use on natural grass (FG/SG) or hard ground (HG), as this can reduce their performance, cause premature wear, and potentially lead to injury.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on artificial pitches, wipe down the uppers and outsoles with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them on direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can cause the materials to crack or shrink.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape and absorb any residual moisture.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove insoles and air them out. You can also use boot deodorizers or a sprinkle of baking soda inside the boots to absorb smells.
