Dulux Mellow Mocha Satinwood Metal & Wood Paint, 750Ml - Brown

This paint is specially designed for use on both metal and wood surfaces, typically for interior applications like doors, skirting boards, furniture, and metal fixtures.

The paint has a drying time of 6 hours. It's important to allow this time for the paint to dry properly between coats or before handling.

On average, one litre of this paint covers up to 16 square metres, depending on the surface porosity and application method.

This is a satinwood finish paint, which provides a smooth, subtle sheen that is less reflective than gloss but more so than matt.

While not always strictly necessary for previously painted surfaces in good condition, priming is recommended for bare wood or metal, or if switching from a very dark to a light colour, to ensure better adhesion and coverage.

This Dulux Satinwood paint is primarily formulated for interior use. For exterior metal or wood surfaces, it is best to choose a paint specifically designed to withstand outdoor weather conditions.

Ensure the surface was properly prepared (clean, smooth, lightly sanded if glossy). Apply paint in thin, even coats, avoiding overworking the brush or roller. Allow adequate drying time between coats.

Check ambient conditions: ensure good ventilation, moderate temperature (ideally 18-22°C), and low humidity. Applying coats too thickly can also prolong drying time. Allow more time if conditions are not ideal.

Porous surfaces (e.g., new, unprimed wood) will absorb more paint; consider a primer coat first. Ensure the paint is stirred well. Apply even coats and avoid excessive thinning of the paint.
