Yes, their clean, black leather design meets the standard requirements for most school uniform policies.
Wipe them down as needed after muddy play and apply leather conditioner every few weeks to keep the material in good condition.
The Microban treatment is integrated into the lining to provide long-lasting odour control, though its effectiveness is best maintained by keeping the shoes clean and dry.
No, machine washing can damage the leather and the structural adhesives. Stick to surface cleaning with a damp cloth.
The sole is designed for general traction, but they are not categorized as specialty slip-resistant safety footwear.
The Somerset Flex range generally follows standard width profiles designed for a comfortable fit for most children.
Check the insole and overall foot position; if toes are pressed against the front, it is time to size up for proper foot development.
Use a matching black leather polish or a leather conditioning cream to buff out surface scuffs and restore the uniform finish.
Remove the insoles to air out the shoes overnight and ensure they are stored in a dry, ventilated area.
No specific setup is required; simply ensure a proper fit by checking for sufficient wiggle room for the toes. To maintain the leather upper, wipe away dirt and mud with a damp cloth after use. We recommend using a high-quality leather cream periodically to keep the material supple and prevent cracking. Avoid soaking the shoes in water, and allow them to air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators to preserve the integrity of the leather and the adhesives in the sole.
