These shoes are designed for kids, typically school-age boys, and are available in various children's foot sizing.
While not strictly required, applying a leather-safe water repellent can help protect the shoes from rain and spills.
Yes, if you require specific orthotics or additional cushioning, the standard insoles can generally be removed.
Check our sizing guide and ensure there is enough room for the foot to grow, typically leaving about 1cm of space at the toes.
Yes, their clean, black design makes them appropriate for formal school uniforms and smart-casual events.
Use a matching black shoe polish or cream to buff out scuffs and restore the natural shine of the leather.
While the Microban lining helps, remove the insoles to air them out overnight if the shoes become saturated with sweat.
Regularly flex the shoe by hand to break in the grooves, or ensure the child is walking in them frequently to activate the designed flexibility.
To ensure your Clarks Somerset Flex shoes maintain their form and comfort, follow these guidelines: 1. Initial Setup: Ensure the sizing is correct by checking for a thumb-width of space between the big toe and the end of the shoe. 2. Break-in Period: While they are designed for immediate comfort, a short wear-in period at home can help the leather adapt to the child's specific foot shape. 3. Cleaning: Wipe the leather upper with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt and use a leather conditioner periodically to prevent cracking. 4. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources, which can warp the leather or damage the adhesive in the sole.
