The Puma Deviate Nitro 4 is a high-performance, neutral running shoe designed for adult male runners seeking a balance between daily training comfort and race-day responsiveness. Featuring upgraded NITROFOAM technology and a carbon composite PWRPLATE, this model offers exceptional energy return and propulsion, though its aggressive design may feel overly firm for casual walkers who prefer plush, soft cushioning.

This shoe is designed for neutral pronation. If you have flat feet and require significant arch support or stability features, this may not be the ideal choice.
The stack height is 38mm in the heel and 30mm in the forefoot, resulting in an 8mm drop.
While the PUMAGRIP outsole is versatile, the shoe is primarily designed for road running. It is suitable for light, groomed gravel paths but not for technical or rocky trails.
The PWRPLATE provides a firm, snappy feel to aid in propulsion, but it works in tandem with the NITROFOAM to balance responsiveness with necessary flexibility.
Typical running shoe life expectancy is between 300 to 500 miles, depending on your running surface, body weight, and running mechanics.
Adjust the lacing tension; use a runner's loop or skip the eyelets causing discomfort to relieve pressure.
Clean the bottom of the shoes to remove accumulated dirt or debris that may block the PUMAGRIP rubber from contacting the ground.
To ensure the best performance, secure the shoes using the lace-up fastening system to achieve a lockdown fit that prevents slippage during high-intensity efforts. The shoes are built for neutral pronation, so ensure your gait pattern is compatible for the best longevity. For care, avoid machine washing; instead, spot clean the engineered mesh upper with a mild detergent and a soft brush. Always allow your shoes to air dry at room temperature, keeping them away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can degrade the performance foam and structural integrity of the shoe.
