Troubleshooting

Water soaking through the outer fabric

The DWR coating may have worn off; wash the garment and apply a spray-on or wash-in re-proofing treatment.

Feeling damp inside despite breathability

Ensure you are layering with moisture-wicking base layers rather than cotton, which absorbs moisture.

Pros and Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Regatta Marron, it is important to follow proper care protocols.

  1. Cleaning: Use a gentle, cold wash cycle with a mild liquid detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can strip the waterproof coating.
  2. Drying: Air dry the jacket naturally. Avoid excessive heat or direct sunlight, which can compromise the synthetic materials.
  3. Re-proofing: Over time, if water stops beading on the surface, apply a specialized DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray to restore the outer layer's effectiveness.
  4. Storage: Hang the jacket in a cool, dry place on a wide hanger to maintain its shape.
