No, the Regatta Marron features a grown-on, adjustable hood for better wind and rain protection.
Please check the care label inside the garment, but typically, air-drying is recommended to preserve the integrity of the waterproof membrane.
Yes, it can be machine washed, but you should use a mild technical wash and avoid fabric softeners.
The jacket includes an internal shock cord waist adjuster that can be tightened or loosened to your preference.
The jacket is designed for standard outdoor layering, but if you prefer a looser fit, you may want to size up.
The pockets are zipped and protected by the jacket's design, but they are not strictly waterproof; keep electronics in the internal security pockets.
The water-repellent finish may have worn off. Wash the jacket and apply a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray to restore the beading effect.
Ensure you are using the correct base layers. While the jacket is breathable, extreme exertion can exceed the membrane's venting capacity.
Check for fabric caught in the zipper teeth or residue buildup. Clean the zipper path with a soft brush and ensure it is dry.
The Regatta Marron jacket is ready for use straight out of the box. To maintain the jacket's waterproof performance, it is recommended to wash it in cool water using a technical cleaner designed for waterproof garments rather than standard detergents. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can strip the water-repellent treatment. If the jacket loses its ability to bead water over time, apply a spray-on re-proofer to the outer fabric. The jacket is designed to be worn over regular base layers or light sweaters; if you plan to wear it with very bulky mid-layers, consider checking the fit at the waist adjusters.
