FAQs

Is this jacket truly waterproof?

Yes, the Regatta Marron uses ISOTEX 30000 technology, which is specifically engineered to be fully waterproof and breathable.

Can I wear this in deep winter?

Absolutely. It is designed with heavy insulation specifically for cold, everyday winter wear.

Does the hood detach?

The jacket features an integrated, adjustable hood designed to stay secure during windy conditions.

How do I choose the right size?

It is recommended to follow the standard Regatta size guide, accounting for the room needed to wear a jumper or fleece underneath.

What material is the jacket made of?

The jacket is constructed from durable, high-quality polyester designed for long-term outdoor use.

Troubleshooting

Water begins to soak into the outer fabric instead of beading off

The DWR coating has likely worn off. Wash the jacket with a technical cleaner and apply a spray-on or wash-in re-proofer to restore water repellency.

Feeling damp inside the jacket after activity

This is likely caused by condensation from internal sweat. Ensure you are wearing breathable base layers and avoid over-layering with non-breathable materials.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High-grade waterproof and breathable ISOTEX 30000 fabric
  • Longer length provides excellent weather coverage
  • Effective at blocking drafts with internal storm cuffs
  • Designed specifically for cold-weather comfort
  • Versatile style suitable for both commuting and casual outdoor walks

Cons

  • May be too warm for mild or rainy autumn weather
  • Heavier construction due to added insulation
  • Limited color availability

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Regatta Marron jacket maintains its protective qualities, follow these care guidelines:

  1. Cleaning: Machine wash on a gentle cycle using a technical detergent designed for waterproof gear.
  2. Avoid Softeners: Never use fabric softeners as they can strip the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating from the fabric.
  3. Drying: Air dry whenever possible. If using a tumble dryer, use a low heat setting to help reactivate the water-repellent finish.
  4. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use for extended periods to preserve the fabric integrity.
  5. Layering: This jacket is designed for standard layering; ensure your mid-layers are not excessively bulky to avoid restricting movement.
