Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before applying, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from debris or previous loose paint. For new wood or metal, use an appropriate primer to ensure the alkyd resin adheres correctly. When applying, use a high-quality synthetic brush or roller to maintain the integrity of the dead flat finish. Avoid over-brushing, which can disrupt the leveling of the paint. Once cured, the finish is designed to be wiped down with a damp cloth if marks occur. Always store the tin in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly sealed to prevent skinning or drying out. For large projects, ensure proper ventilation in the room while the paint is drying.
