Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Eloria jacket is straightforward:
- Wear over appropriate layers: Depending on the temperature, wear a base layer and/or mid-layer underneath for optimal warmth and comfort.
- Adjust the hood: The grown-on hood can be pulled up for head protection in windy or damp conditions.
- Utilize pockets: Place small essentials in the concealed zipped pockets for secure storage.
- Engage storm cuffs: Ensure the internal storm cuffs are properly positioned around your wrists to prevent cold air entry.
Compatibility
- Sizing: The jacket is available in UK women's dress sizes. Please refer to a detailed sizing chart for an accurate fit. The stretch polyester offers some flexibility, but choosing the correct size for your body measurements is crucial for comfort and warmth.
- Example: If you typically wear a UK size 16, select the corresponding jacket size.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your jacket. Always check the garment's specific care label for the most accurate instructions.
- Washing: Generally, polyester insulated jackets should be machine washed on a gentle cycle with cold water. Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach or harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting with dryer balls (like tennis balls) to help fluff up the synthetic insulation. Avoid high heat, as it can damage the fabric and insulation. Air drying flat is also an option, ensuring the jacket is thoroughly dry to prevent mildew.
- Ironing: Do not iron, as high heat can damage the DWR finish and polyester fabric.
- Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid compressing the jacket for long periods, as this can reduce the loft of the synthetic insulation over time.
- DWR Reapplication: Over time, the DWR finish may wear off. If you notice water no longer beads on the surface, consider using a DWR re-treatment spray or wash-in product suitable for technical outerwear.
