Full details

The Regatta Roswind fleece is a high-performance insulating layer designed for adult women who need warmth and protection during outdoor activities like walking or daily commuting. Featuring a long pile borg construction and Hydropel water-repellent technology, it provides excellent thermal retention and resistance against light showers, though it is not a replacement for a heavy-duty waterproof jacket in extreme storms.

FAQs

Is the Regatta Roswind completely waterproof?

No, it is water-repellent and designed to handle light rain, not heavy or sustained downpours.

Can I wear this under a waterproof jacket?

Yes, its breathable design makes it an excellent mid-layer for colder conditions.

How should I clean the zippered pockets?

Ensure all pockets are zipped closed before washing to prevent damage to the zippers or fabric.

What is the fit of this fleece?

It is designed as a standard female adult fit. If you plan to layer thick sweaters underneath, you may consider checking the measurements to ensure comfort.

Does it have a hood?

No, this specific model features a standard collar design.

Troubleshooting

Water starts soaking into the fabric during rain.

The DWR finish has likely worn off. Apply a fabric-safe water-repellent spray to the outer layer.

Fleece fibers appear matted or flat.

Gently shake or brush the fleece after washing and air dry to restore loft to the borg texture.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your fleece, follow these care instructions:

Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees Celsius using a mild detergent.
Drying: Air dry only to preserve the loft of the long pile fleece. Do not tumble dry or iron.
Water Repellency: Periodically re-treat the outer fabric with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray if you notice water no longer beads on the surface.
Storage: Hang the garment in a cool, dry place to prevent the borg fibers from matting.
