The Trespass Westford Packaway Waterproof Jacket is an essential outer layer for outdoor enthusiasts and urban commuters who need reliable weather protection without the bulk. Its primary benefit is a high-performance technical membrane that shields you from heavy rain while maintaining breathability to prevent overheating. While it excels at portability and defense against the elements, potential users should note that as a lightweight packaway shell, it provides minimal thermal insulation on its own and is best utilized as part of a layered clothing system.

Yes, it is machine washable. Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent, avoiding harsh chemicals or softeners.
No, the Westford is a lightweight packaway shell designed for waterproof protection and breathability, not as a thermal insulator.
It can be worn in winter if paired with adequate insulating mid-layers, as the jacket itself provides only protection from wind and rain.
The jacket is designed for easy folding or rolling into a compact size, making it simple to stow in a bag or large pocket.
The 8000mm rating indicates the fabric can withstand significant water pressure, keeping you dry even in heavy, sustained rain.
No, the hood is integrated into the jacket design to ensure complete coverage, but it is fully adjustable using the included toggles.
This may indicate the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating is wearing off. Re-apply a waterproofing spray compatible with technical shells.
Check your layering system. Ensure you are wearing moisture-wicking base layers rather than cotton, which traps sweat.
To ensure the longevity of your Trespass Westford, proper care is essential. Always shake off excess water before packing the jacket away to prevent mildew buildup. When cleaning, machine wash on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent; avoid using heavy fabric softeners as they can degrade the technical waterproof coating. For best results, hang dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources, which can damage the membrane. Because this jacket is designed as a shell, it works best when layered over a fleece or thermal base layer, allowing you to adapt your outfit to changing temperatures.
