FAQs

Is the Regatta Roswind fleece waterproof?

It is water-repellent due to Hydropel technology, meaning it will shed light rain, but it is not fully waterproof.

Can I wear this as an outer layer?

Yes, it is designed as a practical outer layer for dry or lightly damp conditions, or as a mid-layer under a waterproof coat.

How should I wash my fleece?

Wash on a cool, gentle cycle without fabric softener to protect the water-repellent coating.

Does this fleece have pockets?

Yes, it includes functional pockets for storing your essential small items.

Is this fleece breathable?

Yes, the material is engineered to allow moisture vapor to escape, keeping you comfortable during light activity.

Troubleshooting

Water no longer beading on the surface

The water-repellent finish may need reactivating. Use a specialized fabric re-proofer spray designed for outdoor gear after washing.

Fleece feels less soft after multiple washes

Avoid using fabric softener in the wash, as it coats the fibers and reduces loft. Use a gentle technical detergent instead.

Pros and Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care

As a fleece garment, the Roswind does not require setup, but proper care will extend its functional life:

Washing: Machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can strip the Hydropel water-repellent treatment.
Drying: Air dry whenever possible to maintain the structure of the fleece fibers. Avoid direct high heat from tumble dryers.
Compatibility: The slim-cut design makes it highly compatible as a mid-layer under a waterproof shell jacket for more intense weather conditions.
