Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unbox and Inspect: Carefully remove the air fryer from its packaging. Ensure all components, including the two cooking baskets and non-stick grill plates, are present and undamaged.
- Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate clearance (at least 6 inches) from walls and cabinets to allow for proper ventilation.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the removable cooking baskets and grill plates with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth.
- First Use 'Burn-Off': It's recommended to run the empty air fryer for about 10-15 minutes at a medium temperature (e.g., 180°C / 350°F) during its first use. This helps to burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminates any initial odors.
- Plug In: Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet.
Compatibility
This air fryer is designed to be compatible with standard household electrical outlets. No special adapters or installations are typically required.
Care and Maintenance
- Always Unplug: Before cleaning, always ensure the air fryer is unplugged and has completely cooled down.
- Clean Baskets and Grill Plates: Remove the cooled cooking baskets and non-stick grill plates. Wash them by hand with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. They are often dishwasher-safe (check your user manual), but hand washing prolongs their non-stick coating life.
- Wipe Down Exterior: Use a damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the air fryer. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can damage the finish.
- Clean Heating Element: After extensive use, and with the unit unplugged and cool, gently wipe the heating element with a soft cloth to remove any food residue. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Storage: Store the air fryer in a dry, safe place once clean and completely dry.
