Setup
- Unboxing: Carefully remove your new Phantom GX II Elite FG boots from their packaging.
- Initial Wear: Try them on indoors with your preferred football socks. Ensure a snug fit – the Flyknit collar should feel supportive around your ankle without being restrictive. Walk around to get a feel for the boot's contours.
- Lacing: Securely lace your boots, ensuring even tension across your foot for optimal lockdown and comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed as Firm Ground (FG) football boots. This means they are best suited for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and relatively dry. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or very hard ground can lead to premature wear of the studs, reduced performance, and potential injury.
Care
- Cleaning After Use: After every match or training session, remove any excess mud and debris from the upper and soleplate. A soft brush or damp cloth works well. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not force dry them with heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials, especially the Gripknit and Flyknit components.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Using boot trees can help maintain their shape.
- Inspection: Regularly check the studs and soleplate for wear or damage. While the Cyclone 360 soleplate is durable, intense use can lead to wear over time. If studs are significantly worn, performance will be impacted.
