- Versatile for varied terrain, from well-maintained paths to rocky and muddy trails.
They pair well with performance hiking socks for optimal moisture management and blister prevention.
Care Instructions
Proper care extends the life and performance of your hiking shoes:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially in muddy conditions, gently brush off loose dirt and debris. For tougher stains, use a soft brush or cloth with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do *not* use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the GORE-TEX® membrane and leather.
- Waterproofing Maintenance: Over time, the outer Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment may wear off. If water no longer beads on the surface, consider applying a GORE-TEX® approved DWR spray or wash-in treatment to restore water repellency. Follow product instructions carefully.
- Leather Care: For the PU-coated and synthetic nubuck leather sections, a leather conditioner suitable for hiking footwear can help maintain flexibility and prevent cracking over time. Avoid oil-based conditioners that might affect breathability.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight when not in use.
